Solidarity Series

What does solidarity with black communities really look like in Asian American communities? How has racial discrimination been baked into government institutions in United States history and today? How has Asia America remained complicit in the fight against racism? What does belonging look like for a person of color at a predominantly white institution like William & Mary?

FASA, the Asian American Student Initiative (AASI), and W&M’s Center for Student Diversity are partnering up to deliver a three-part Solidarity Series about anti-blackness in Asian American communities! Check out the topics and dates below.

Institutionalized Racism

Hosted by the Filipino American Student Association at W&M.

This event will be a seminar about the topics above and how they contribute to anti-Blackness in our communities, mainly how they divide and pit the Asian American communities against the Black community.
