New Student Disorientation

With the start of the Fall 2020 semester, it’s important new and incoming students are caught up with what has happened in the W&M community in the last few months. William & Mary: A 2020 Disorientation Guide primarily highlights events and happenings that occurred in the 2020 spring semester, such as the university’s COVID-19 response and the Black Lives Matter responses by students and W&M in light of uprisings since May. With this guide, a petition is also being released demanding W&M guarantee stronger protections for students, workers, and community members during these distressing and uncertain times. We hope you take the time to read through this guide and understand W&M is much more than the rosy picture painted during orientation.
